Believe it or not but I do have a few monster cables, and the difference between a cheap 15 euro cable and the monster on my Wii makes a world of a difference!
I mention the Wii cuz the difference wasnt all that clear on ps3 or x360.

I got a Proteck or Gioteck (font is screwed up, can't read it properly) with my PS3 for like 10GBP. I might buy a cheaper one just to test it out but I doubt I'll notice any difference.
Although it is gold-plated for uberness :D

wii is not digital though, its component (or composite if you are using that, ugh) connectors are transmitting analog info.
for hdmi though, it either works or it doesnt. its digital.

Get this Ras: my TV's so old doesn't even have compostie jacks, let alone component (don't even ask about HDMI).

I don't have a [s]next[/s] current gen system, but to hook up my PS2 or GC, I have to go to my VCR (composite) and then input that into my TV via coax (set to Channel 3).

Yep I'm comparatively in the Stone Age as far as AV crap goes.
